Eastern Upper Peninsula Crisis Response Team

Training

The EUPCRT meets on a quarterly basis as a team (the 2nd Thursday of Feb, May, Aug, & Nov). During those meetings we do a review of some aspect of CISM for the first half of the meeting. We review the CISM “tools” to help keep them fresh in our minds so that we can better respond when called upon in our community. Since we are a multi-county team, we meet via ZOOM for our meetings. If you’d like to join us for one of our meetings please send a request via email (listed on our Contact Us page).

We Recommend Additional Training Beyond Group and Individual

Courses

ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation) offers an abundance of courses to better equip responders to help their peers. Our team is a member of the Michigan Crisis Response Association (MCRA) and follows their guidelines for training and we utilize their annual training conference held in September of each year. This conference usually offers four or five courses from the ICISF materials.

Upper Peninsula based training

We are fortunate enough to have an ICISF-Approved Intructor on our team. This means that we can plan for and receive CISM training without having to travel outside of the UP. Courses are taught as needed and as requested throughout the UP. Watch the space below for upcoming trainings.
